History
The Strongest Backing in Plastic Surgery
Since our official founding in 1974, we were born with a clear purpose: to bring together the National Societies of Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula. Today, we celebrate more than 50 years of legacy, uniting more than 10,000 specialists from 22 countries to promote continuing medical education and raise the standards of our specialty.
Our Mission
Promote the scientific and ethical advancement of Plastic Surgery, uniting and developing more than 10,000 certified specialists in Ibero-Latin America.
Our Vision
To be the leading global benchmark of the specialty, establishing ourselves as an undisputed synonym of medical excellence, responsibility and professionalism.
Our Purpose
To uphold the rigor of our profession and guarantee patient safety through continuing medical education and a deep social commitment.
It is an honor to welcome you to this new stage of the Ibero-Latin American Federation of Plastic Surgery (FILACP).
I take on the Presidency with a deep sense of responsibility and with the conviction that institutions grow stronger when they manage to bring together experience, diversity and commitment.

As an active member, you have access to our new digital platform, which gives you access to all the information in “Cirugía Plástica Ibero-Latinoamericana” and preferential rates for our biennial congresses and continuing medical education programs.
How do I get access to the virtual platform?
If you are an active member, follow these steps:
- Complete the membership application form.
- Our team will verify your current affiliation with your National Society and in the Federation's database.
